GATHERING THE FAMILY TOGETHER [Archived Gatherings]
	Spring Gathering and AGM 2011 14th of May 2011 A warm and windy day saw a good turnout of members at Ardtalla. Council members attended a very productive meeting in the morning, this was followed by lunch and subsequently our AGM. A short meeting, during which the election of John Paisley Lloyd as Society Chairmain was confirmed and useful discussions regarding future gatherings, in particular the Gathering 2014; the Anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn. In the late afternoon, the Westerleas put on a barbeque dinner, enjoyed by all ~ an excellent day. Please do send in your comments as soon as you can at the following email address: comments@paisleyfamilysociety.org.uk   Balquhidder, Lochearnhead and Strathyre Highland Games 24th of July 2010 After the unparalleled success of the international gathering in Edinburgh, it was decided that the society should maintain a wider presence by attending some of the larger traditional games held throughout Scotland. We received an invitation by the secretary of the Balquhidder Games (a great friend of Willie Paisley) to attend. A wonderfully warm day which saw twenty members and many friends enjoyed the march of the clans (McGregor, McLaren and Stewarts). We are proud to have been part of this historic event representing our family and our society with our name and our tartan. It has also been a great pleasure to meet up with many of our local and international members who made the effort to attend the events at which we thoroughly enjoyed their association. It was great opportunity to meet up with some of the members and discuss our plans for The Homecoming this coming July. We all enjoyed a very beautiful sunny day with refreshments and a lovely buffet meal while entertained by John Winton's pipes.
