| The Homecoming - Gathering 2009 - Edinburgh

Holyrood Park Edinburgh 25th & 26th July
The Gathering 2009 was reported to have been a great success. We are proud to have been part of this historic event representing our family and our society with our name and our tartan. It has also been a great pleasure to meet up with many of our local and international members who made the effort to attend the events at which we thoroughly enjoyed their association.

| Spring Gathering 2009 - April 19, 2009
Our society's Spring Gathering for 2009 was held at Ardtalla last weekend. It was great opportunity to meet up with some of the members and discuss our plans for The Homecoming this coming July. We all enjoyed a very beautiful sunny day with refreshments and a lovely buffet meal while entertained by John Winton's pipes.
A selection of photos from the event are now accessible by clicking on the following group photo.

| Charleston Games
The Society has been represented at many of the major USA Games and has been the Host Family at the Charleston Games in South Carolina. These games are popular with the Society as Charleston was settled by many Paisley families in the 18th and 19th Centuries. Charleston has been adopted as the main annual gathering location in the US. There is also a family connection with Boon Hall Plantation where the Games are held annually.
This year the Charleston Games were held on 15 September 2007. Following is a selection of photographs of the event.

| Chieftain's Reception
Our Chieftains Reception was held at Balgonie Castle on the 30th of June as scheduled. A dreich day failed to dampen the enthusiasm of a large number of friends, family and guests who after drinks in the courtyard, were entertained with traditional music provided by Robert Gibb on Scottish Smallpipes in the vaulted cellar. There was no formal group photograph due to the extreme weather conditions and the party thereafter moved up into the Great Hall to enjoy a veritable feast. Speeches toasts and entertainment followed.
A selection of group and individual photographs to capture the mood of the occasion are presented below.

| Annual Gatherings
Gatherings are held at least annually, to which all of the name or blood are welcome. The event comprises our Annual General Meeting, normally an afternoon meeting, followed in the evening by a Dinner and Dance/ceilidh. If an International Gathering is planned this is a 3 to 4 day programme which includes historical tours, ecumenical services of thanksgiving/dedication and weather permitting, a barbeque.
